Triangle Home Safety Service
Rail, traction, visibility, and pathway improvements for stairs, landings, hallways, and common travel routes.
Stairs and hallways are repeated travel routes, so small problems with traction, lighting, visibility, or support can affect daily confidence throughout the home. Triangle Home Safety reviews practical improvements that can often be completed without rebuilding the staircase.
We can address minor improvements within our scope and clearly separate those from structural stair repair, major new rail systems, or licensed electrical work.
Triangle Home Safety focuses on the physical stair and pathway environment, not clinical gait or balance evaluation. If the staircase requires structural repair, a major new rail system, or licensed electrical work, we explain that before proceeding.
Cost
Stair and hallway work is quoted according to the stair flight, rail condition, traction products, lighting, and site conditions. The Stair & Hallway Safety package provides a bundled starting price for one standard flight and nearby travel path under standard conditions.
Timing
Many focused improvements can be completed in one scheduled visit. A new handrail, unusual stair geometry, structural repair, or hardwired lighting can require separate evaluation and pricing.
Who it helps
This service is useful when a stair flight or hallway is the clear concern, lighting is inadequate, traction or visibility needs improvement, an existing rail needs minor attention, or the family wants focused work without a broader whole-home assessment.

View All FAQsCommon improvements include traction, visibility, pathway lighting, and minor securement of existing rails when appropriate.
Structural stair repair, major new handrail or guardrail systems, flooring reconstruction, and hardwired electrical work are outside the standard minor-modification scope.
A new handrail is not included in the standard package price.
The condition of an existing rail can be reviewed and minor securement may be completed when appropriate. New handrail installation is quoted separately after the stair construction and mounting conditions are reviewed.
Structural stair repair, reconstruction, and major code-related work are outside the standard Stair & Hallway Safety package.
We identify those conditions before proceeding and explain when a remodeler, carpenter, or other qualified professional is the better fit.
Yes, Triangle Home Safety can use practical non-hardwired lighting and visibility improvements when they fit the home and the agreed scope.
If the right solution requires new hardwired fixtures, circuits, switches, or other electrical work, a licensed electrician is the appropriate professional.
